Winery :Bernard Brémont Récoltant – Manipulant

In Ambonnay since 1965, Bernard and his wife, Michéle, who own 15 hectares of vines all within the village boundaries, produce not only champagne, but also an Ambonnay Rouge (red) that is used to “cut” their magnificent Rosé. Love and respect for the vines lie are key to the way they - and their sons -run the estate. Their champagnes manage to be both powerful and silky, with perfect drinkability as their chief characteristic.

Location :Ambonnay - Montagna di Reims - Champagne

Name :A.O.C. Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé Sans Année

Grapes :70% Pinot noir, 22% Chardonnay, 8% Ambonnay Rouge

Alcohol :12 % Vol.

Vinification :20 months on-lees aging (on spent yeast) after which riddling is carried out at least 4 months prior to delivery and only after an order has been placed. 8% Ambonnay Rouge is added to a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay base.

Tasting Notes :A brilliant pale pink that is to say the very least, utterly captivating and somewhat hypnotic so there is a real risk one might forget to drink it! Lots of dense bubbles that rise in numerous columns. Complex and intriguing bouquet highly reminiscent of red fruits although never excessive or overbearing. A very elegant flavour that tastes slightly of wine, with balsamic notes and just a hint of mint. The perfect aperitif for those that enjoy complex flavours at that time of the day but are not about to refuse a second glass.
